ALT 304
The multiprocess ALT 304 combines the advantages of inverter-based power with the built-in features and Auto-Line™ input voltage hookup.

Auto-Line™
Automatically "links" the machine to a broad range of primary single- and three-phase, 50 and 60 Hz input voltages without mannually linking. Also compensates for voltage spikes and drops within the entire range. Delivering consistent output - All done without removing the covers to relink. View Video >>

Wind Tunnel Technology™
Internal air flow that protects electrical components and PC boards from dirt, dust, debris... greatly improving reliability. View Video >>

Fan-On-Demand™
Internal power source cooling system that only works when needed, keeping internal components cleaner. View Video >>

Adaptive Hot Start™ for Stick
Automatically increases output amperage at the start of a weld should the start require it and prevents the electrode from sticking and creating an inclusion.

Lift-Arc™
Simply touch the tungsten to the work piece lift and the arc is initiated instantly and automatically. View Video >>

Features

Miller's exclusive Auto-Line™ technology (ALT) allows for any input voltage hook-up (208-575 V) with no manual linking, providing convenience in any lob setting.

Wind Tunnel Technology™ protects electrical components and PC boards from contamination, significantly improving reliability.

Fan-On-Demand™ cooling system operates only when needed, reducing noise, energy usage and amount of airborne contaminants pulled through the machine.

400 amps maximum output

Lift-Arc™ for TIG starts without the use of high frequency. Starts the arc at any amperage without contaminating the weld with tungsten.

Adaptive Hot Start™ for Stick arc starts automatically increases the output amperage at the start of a weld should the start require it. Eliminates sticking of the electrode at arc start.

Enhanced low-end performance for stainless steel and thin-metal applications.

International-style weld disconnects provide high-quality weld cable connections. (Two connectors supplied with each unit.)

Process selector switch reduces the number of control setup combinations without reducing any features.

Superior 6010 stick electrode performance with inverter arc control technology provides the ALT 304 the puddle control demanded especially by the pipe welding industry.

Lightweight, durable aluminum case offers protection with the benefit of reduced weight.

Optional gas solenoid for TIG welding.

Optional 115 VAC auxiliary power provides 10 amps circuit-breaker-protected auxiliary power for water circulators or other such devices.
