Miller Employees Shave Heads to Raise $30,000 for Cancer Charity

"In the last month, 18 employees from Miller have shaved their heads for pledges, totaling more than $30,000," said Mary Felton, Miller's director of human resources. "The shaved heads are a tribute to cancer patients who have lost their hair during cancer treatment." This fundraising event is part of Miller's nine month "Employee Involvement" program, which promotes community service participation from all of the company's 1,400 employees. "We work and live in this community, so we naturally want to support it," said Miller President Mike Weller. "It's fortunate that everyone can work together as a group to share their talents and time to raise money for area organizations."
