TIGRUNNER, MIGRUNNER PACKAGES IMPROVE MOBILITY, SIMPLIFY SPECIFICATION OF MILLER WELDING SYSTEMS

- Order complete TIG and MIG welding systems with one stock number, receive one box

APPLETON, Wis. (March 3, 2003) -
To simplify specification and setup for TIG and MIG welding systems, Miller Electric Mfg. Co. offers its Dynasty™ 300 DX TIGRunner and XMT 304 CC/CV MIGRunner welding packages. Combined with the welding power source, these packages combine everything operators need to begin welding (except shielding gas and filler metal).

The TIGRunner and MIGRunner are ordered with a single stock number and all components arrive in a single box. These systems also improve mobility, as all components fit on a deluxe carrying cart/cylinder rack with running gear.

TIGRunner

The Dynasty 300 DX TIGRunner package provides everything operators need for high-precision AC/DC TIG welding, including a Dynasty 300 SD or DX power source, Coolmate™ 3 water coolant system, remote foot control and running gear for portability and maximum use of available space. An option incorporates the Diamond Back™ TIG Torch package, which includes an ergonomic 250 amp water-cooled Diamond Back torch, ground clamp and cable, cable cover, flowmeter/regulator and all the accessories.

The Dynasty 300 has a 5 to 300 amp output range (250 amps at 40 percent duty cycle), weighs 90 lbs. (or 106 lbs. with auxiliary power option) and produces code-quality TIG, pulsed TIG and Stick welds. It is used in the maintenance, mechanical and pipe contracting, metal fabrication, marine repair, shipbuilding, aerospace and racing industries.

The Dynasty 300’s advanced squarewave technology allows the operator to fine-tune the duration of the electrode negative (EN) portion of the AC cycle from 50 to 90 percent and adjust the output frequency from 20 to 250 Hz. This optimizes the arc for various joint configurations, material thickness or materials that contain heavy oxide layers.

MIG Package

When a multiprocess output, portability, compactness, flexibility and energy efficiency are top priorities, choose the XMT 304 MIGRunner package. It comes complete with a 22A wire feeder, Roughneck C-Series gun, consumables, .035 and .045 in. drive roll kit, regulator/flow gauge with gas hose and factory-installed running gear/cylinder rack.

The XMT inverter has a 5 to 400 amp output (300 amps at 60 percent duty cycle) for MIG, flux cored, Stick and DC TIG welding, as well as air carbon arc cutting and gouging. It weighs 76 lbs., automatically links to the correct input power through its Auto-Link function, has one process control knob to simplify use, and incorporates Wind Tunnel Technology for reliability. It uses electricity with an average efficiency of 85 percent, potentially lowering utility bills by hundreds of dollars.

The Dynasty 300 and XMT 304 are covered by Miller’s True Blue three-year factory warranty. To download a product spec sheet, visit Miller's Web site at MillerWelds.com.
