APPLETON, Wis., August 25, 2003—Miller Electric Mfg. Co. will display its revolutionary Axcess™ 450 and Auto Axcess 450 multi-MIG welding systems in booth # 6006 at this year’s FABTECH International event, Nov. 16 to 19, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Miller will also unveil the Maxstar® 150 Stick/TIG inverter, which offers more power-per-pound and is the only machine in its class that can run a 1/8-in. E7018 electrode on 115 V primary. Other products on display for the first time at FABTECH include the Dynasty™ 200 Series of lightweight AC/DC, TIG/Stick inverters and the Millermatic® 251 Push-Pull all-in-one MIG system with aluminum capabilities.
Axcess combines flexible primary power conversation “hardware” with welding application “software.” Through software changes, the system can produce any physical arc characteristics or wave forms that can be imagined. Axcess provides the perfect arc for every MIG welding process. This includes traditional spray, pulsed and short circuit transfer MIG and an innovative Miller hybrid processes called Accupulse™.
Axcess represents the next generation of Miller inverters. Its software-driven controls operate faster than 50 microseconds (a microsecond is one millionth of a second). Axcess monitors arc conditions nearly continuously. With its faster response rate, it can sense arc conditions and correct fluctuations before they become a major problem. As a result, Axcess can improve weld quality and productivity.
